Tarl Knight
Tarl Knight is the owner and creative director of the historic Tarlton Theatre downtown Green Bay, the home of the Green Bay Film Festival.
Tarl graduated at the Renaissance School for the Arts (Appleton, WI) and Interlochen Arts Academy (Traverse City, MI). As a performing and recording singer-songwriter, multi-instrumental musician, artist, and graphic designer, he is a proud creator and supporter of live, original, local arts.
Outside of his role as a Film Green Bay, Inc. board member, Tarl serves on the Green Bay Jazz Orchestra board of directors and serves as director of The Shipyard District, Inc., the nonprofit organization which oversees the revitalization of Green Bay’s Shipyard District.
Tarl has performed locally at music festivals including Steel Bridge Songfest (Sturgeon Bay, WI), Mile of Music (Appleton, WI), and All Bands On Deck, Green Bay’s biggest annual live music festival, which he created. He is an active member of his neighbourhood and a proud advocate for his community, running for local government, historic preservation, forming neighbourhood associations, and activating his community through creative collaboration.
